A fabulous game from ancient England. Traditionally handmade. A game of great skill. Each player must take 5 paces from the pin. Then taking turns, each player throws a quoit until they have thrown both their quoits. Teams of two can also play. This game was played in Roman times and again in the Middle Ages. Fresh straw rings were used at harvest time. By Tudor times, sailors made rope quoits and the game was played on ships.

Played by children in the days before television and plastic toys and re-created for your children to enjoy. This is an ideal toy to tuck in a space for a camping holiday or play indoors on a wet day.

Toys that often give the most pleasure are those which are the most simple!

The four string quoits are 15.5cm in diameter, the stick is 30cm.
